The Silver Lining of Covid

Politics and loss of Constitutional Rights aside, we learned a lot about what we truly need during the shutdown. Turns out, we don’t need 5 closets of clothes. Nor do we need a lot of clutter, or boxes filled with things we haven’t looked at in decades. In our town, donation boxes were full and there were long lines to donate to charity stores, as we all got rid of stuff and decluttered our homes and lives. Good for us.

We rediscovered communication with loved ones, activities we can do in small groups and outdoor gatherings. There is record participation in festivals and less pictures of food and other people having fun. We’re having more experiences with loved ones, and less sitting and staring at devices. Spending time on things that matter became a greater priority for many of us. Good lessons learned.

We also need guns that work, and restoring legacy guns from our family and history has become important. The Gunsmith has been working on some very cool projects, we will be adding before and after photos to our website and social media soon.

I expect the arguments and debates over the cost of covid will continue, but for us, there is a small silver lining.
